Senior Living Caregiver (Evenings)

About the role

Merrill Gardens at Gilroy is seeking a Senior Living Caregiver to support residents within our community. The ideal candidate is passionate about working with seniors and dedicated to providing an atmosphere that values individualism and dignity.

Responsibilities

• Aid residents with activities of daily living such as dressing, bathing, meals, laundry, and general care.
• Manage medication as allowed by the state and complete daily progress reports of services provided.
• Complete progress reports for Assisted Living and Garden House residents daily or more often as needed (chart by exception).

Requirements

• Current caregiver training/certification as specified by state agency or the ability to obtain.
• CNA license or two years previous experience as a caregiver.
• The ability to obtain first aid/CPR certification within 30 days of employment.

Skills

• Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 75 lbs, and assist with resident care.
• Frequent bending, reaching, and physical movement throughout the workday.

Pay

Actual pay rate within stated pay range is determined based on relevant factors in compliance with state and local wage laws. This range reflects what we reasonably expect to pay upon hire.

Schedule

This role offers both full-time and part-time shifts, with a mix of day, evening, and overnight hours available.
