Our contract supports more than 12 efforts with varying levels of hardware and software development requirements. Projects focus on front-end equipment configuration/maintenance, back-end repositories, front-end dashboards, and the full data processing thread. Teams range from 1-2 developers to 12, working directly with the customer to discuss requirements, identify solutions, and implement them. This position is for a team of three contractors supporting multiple projects, primarily focused on security compliance to maintain and renew Authority to Operate (ATO) status. The role also involves supporting projects with migration to new baselines, incorporating new technologies, and building/reporting for health and monitoring dashboards. Applications and baselines operate predominantly in a virtualized architecture.

Responsibilities

  • Provides support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems, including client/server/storage/network devices and mobile devices.
  • Supports day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for IT systems.
  • Escalates and communicates system status to agency management and internal customers.
  • Supports dispatch system and hardware problems, remaining involved in the resolution process.
  • Configures and manages LINUX operating systems, installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoots, maintains integrity, and configures network components.
  • Implements operating system enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
  • Creates bash shell scripts to aid in system stability and deployment repeatability.
  • Manages daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems.
  • Provides Tier I (Help Desk) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution.
  • Optimizes system operations and resource utilization, and performs system capacity analysis and planning.
  • Provides detailed analysis and feedback to management and internal customers for escalated tickets.

Requirements

  • 9+ years of experience as a Linux Administrator.
  • 9+ years of bash programming experience.
  • 7+ years of Perl/Python programming experience.
  • 7+ years of Linux (Redhat/Centos 5 or greater) experience.
  • Knowledge of web technologies (HTML, XML, Java2E, etc.).
  • 3+ years of experience with virtualization.
  • 3+ years of experience with Puppet 3 or greater.
  • TS/SCI with Poly clearance required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Studies or related technical discipline from an accredited college or university (or 13+ years of experience if no degree).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, or containerization.

Schedule

Monday–Friday: Normal schedule. Specific start/end times can be determined by the candidate and the team for best schedule needs.

Pay

$180,000 – $265,000
