About the role

Responsibilities
- Teach swimming lessons daily to all ages
- Enforce safety policies
- Maintain pool facilities
- Lifeguard public swimming sessions to ensure safety of the public
- Provide rescue and emergency care for accident victims
- Diligently enforce all rules and regulations as defined in Pool Operations
- Aid the Pool Manager in completing daily cash reports
Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalency
- Previous work-related experience (e.g., cashier, swimming)
- One (1) year of lifeguard experience for the City
- Current American Red Cross Lifeguard Training, Water Safety Instructor Certificates, and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer
- Working knowledge of pool operations and procedures
- Valid class "C" driver's license from the Texas Department of Public Safety with a satisfactory driving record
- Bilingual English/Spanish (preferred)
