Job Summary
The Air Quality Program (AQP) within the Department of Ecology is looking to fill a Senior Legislative Program Planner (Environmental Planner 5) position. This position is located in our Headquarters Office in Lacey, WA. Upon hire, you must live within a commutable distance from the duty station.
What You Will Do
- Work on policy initiatives affecting climate and air quality in Washington
- Utilize analytic thinking and excellent organizational skills
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in environmental science, public policy, or related field
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in environmental planning or policy development
- Experience with legislative processes and stakeholder engagement
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Pay and Schedule
Salary is commensurate with experience. Benefits are available through the State of Washington.
