Senior Legal Counsel

Key Responsibilities

• Advises on legal questions touching all aspects of our operations, including expansion, compliance, charter management, and our day-to-day operations.
• Manages regulatory reporting to authorizers and government agencies.
• Supports advocacy and lobbying efforts.
• Drafts, reviews, and negotiates agreements, using pragmatic business judgment and making appropriate risk determinations.
• Advise on data privacy issues.
• Conducts legal research and writing.

• Able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school (or equivalent).
• Licensed to practice in at least one U.S. state, with admission to the New York Bar or eligibility for in-house qualification in New York.
• At least six + years of legal experience, including in-house at a fast-paced company, nonprofit, and/or BigLaw.

Pay

Exact compensation may vary based on skills and experience. This position is not bonus eligible.
