Senior Legal Counsel
About the role
Schneider Electric is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel with at least five years of commercial contracting experience for a hybrid (2–3 days per week onsite) position in Boston, MA; Nashville, TN; Raleigh, NC; Houston, TX or Chicago, IL.
Responsibilities
Lead the drafting, analysis, and negotiation of complex sales, software, and service agreements of varying scope and complexity.
Provide actionable legal advice to internal stakeholders to support product offerings and customer projects.
Proactively guide customers on how to avoid disputes and resolve issues early in the process.
Develop best-in-class contracting templates, clause libraries, and negotiation playbooks.
Ensure business activities, policies, and transactions comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
Develop and deliver legal training programs to enhance internal business clients' commercial fluency.
Qualifications
A J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school and active Bar admission in at least one state.
Proven experience handling, drafting, and negotiating complex commercial equipment and service agreements.
Experience on high-value contracts in the Data Center or EPC space preferred.
Strategic communication skills to translate legal concepts into actionable guidance.
Proactive and solution-oriented approach to negotiations with meticulous attention to detail.
A strong commitment to serving as an engaged, collaborative partner to the business.
An intellectually curious mindset to stay current on legal, technology, and business trends.
Comfortable using legal technology and supporting new projects that incorporate tech-driven solutions.
Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple high-priority projects.
Pay
The expected pay range for this position is USD 142,400 - USD 213,600 per year.
Schedule
This role offers a hybrid schedule (2–3 days per week onsite).
