Senior Legal AI Engineer

About the role

This role will lead work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a Media environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Participate in client engagements, guiding technical discovery and scoping legal use cases
• Translate legal workflows and business pain points into technical solutions
• Design and implement AI solutions for various legal workflows
• Collaborate with engineers to build and test AI pipelines and workflows
• Lead efforts to evaluate large language models for legal applications
• Ensure solutions meet ethical, data protection, and security standards
• Contribute reusable solution assets and explore new AI methodologies

Qualifications

• JD or equivalent depth of legal experience
• Fluency in legal terminology with experience in legal practices
• Experience in software engineering, specifically with AI/ML applications
• Proficient in Python programming
• Solid understanding of machine learning concepts and evaluation techniques
• Strong communication skills for client-facing interactions
• Ability to work independently in ambiguous environments

Pay

$100,100 – $185,900 annually
