Senior Lead Usher (Pool)
About the role
The Senior Lead Usher supports events at the Younes and Soraya Nazarian Center for the Performing Arts (The Soraya) and other campus theaters. The role involves providing administrative and customer service support, leading Audience Services teams, and performing other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Provides administrative support including contributing to post-event reports, managing staff uniforms, and assisting with staff training sessions.
- Interacts with artists, renters, guests, and audience members, ensuring security, safety, and adherence to policies.
- Led Audience Services teams for ticket scanning/tearing, program distribution, seat assistance, and enforcing policies regarding personal items, food/beverages, and recording devices.
- Enforces emergency exit instructions and crowd control during events.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- One year of related experience in customer service, performing arts support, or theatre settings.
- Equivalent to one semester of experience as a Soraya Lead Usher preferred.
- Catering or food service experience is a plus.
- Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications, and TIPS preferred.
Benefits
The position offers a competitive pay range of $21.36 - $22.67 per hour, contingent on qualifications and experience. Hours are intermittent and on-call, with varying schedules.

Pay Range: $21.36 - $31.13 per hour
