About the role

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Trust and Fiduciary Strategist (LO) to advise leadership on developing or influencing objectives, plans, specifications, resources, and long-term goals for highly complex financial planning needs. This role involves leading the strategy and resolution of complex planning needs in collaboration with clients and partners, delivering solutions requiring vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical and inductive thinking, and collaborating with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.

The role also involves interacting with internal or external customers, accountants, and attorneys. This LO position has customer contact and job duties which may include needs assessing and referring those customers interested in a dwelling secured product to a SAFE team member. This position includes assisting customers without taking an application and without offering or negotiating terms of a dwelling secured transaction. Individuals in a LO position also must meet the Loan Originator requirements under Regulation Z (LO) outlined in the job expectations below.

Responsibilities

  • Advise leadership to develop or influence objectives, plans, specifications, resources, and long-term goals for highly complex financial planning needs
  • Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex planning needs in collaboration with clients and partners
  • Deliver solutions that require vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical and inductive thinking
  • Provide vision, direction, and expertise to leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutions that are large-scale, cross-functional, or company-wide strategies
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
  • Interact with internal or external customers, accountants, and attorneys
  • Assist customers without taking an application and without offering or negotiating terms of a dwelling secured transaction

Requirements

  • 7+ years of Fiduciary Advisory experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • In-depth trust and estate planning experience focused on the HNW/UNHW space in a client-facing capacity
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of financial and estate planning, fiduciary/trust, wealth transfer, leverage, multiple asset class usage, asset allocation strategies, and taxation
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of fiduciary law and federal regulations
  • Experience with family dynamics or working with inter-generational families
  • One or more of the following credentials highly desired: Juris Doctor (JD) degree, CTFA, CPA, or CFP designations
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills

Qualifications

  • Meet the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau qualification requirements and comply with related Wells Fargo policies
  • Successfully complete the required training and assessments
  • Meet applicable financial responsibility, character, general financial fitness, and criminal background standards
  • Pass the required background check
  • Meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening, if necessary
