Senior/Lead Bioinformatics Scientist (Multi-Cancer Early Detection)

For our client, we are seeking a Senior/Lead Bioinformatics Scientist (Multi-Cancer Early Detection) to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space. This role will focus on advancing computational methods for analyzing complex multimodal epigenomic and sequencing data in support of early cancer detection research. The position will partner closely with molecular biology and clinical science teams to strengthen research analyses, improve data integrity, and support reliable scientific decision-making. You will help shape reproducible workflows, high-quality code practices, and clear communication of findings across technical and scientific audiences. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $119,000 – $163,000 annually Responsibilities Develop and validate algorithms for analyzing large multimodal epigenomic datasets Implement, test, and evaluate research analyses while enhancing existing pipelines Ensure data integrity and quality control for sequencing and clinical data Collaborate with molecular biologists and clinical scientists on complex problems Visualize and present complex findings to diverse audiences Contribute to team standards for code quality and reproducibility Qualifications Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Biology, or a related field; or a Bachelor's or Master's degree with 4+ years of experience Proven experience developing and validating workflows for high-throughput sequencing data Skilled in applying statistical and machine learning methods to large datasets Strong quantitative reasoning and data analysis skills for scientific applications Proficient in Python and scientific computing libraries Experienced with Linux command-line tools and cloud computing environments Excellent verbal and written communication skills Benefits Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, life, and disability plans for employees and dependents Free testing for employees and their immediate families, including fertility care benefits Pregnancy and baby bonding leave 401k benefits Commuter benefits Generous employee referral program Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
