Senior Lead Accountant - Assets

About the role

The Senior Accountant Lead for Assets will report directly to the Assets Manager and oversee up to three Accountants on the Assets team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and assist with monthly recording and analysis of intercompany accounts.
• Handle monthly inventory adjustments and coordinate with Supply Chain on year-end summary counts.
• Assist with the annual single audit on federal funding.
• Assist with prepaids, other accounts receivable, grants, and other items as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business with multiple accounting courses and five (5) years of related professional work experience; or a related degree and six (6) years or more of progressively responsible accounting and financial reporting experience specific to the healthcare industry.
• Preferred: Master's degree in Accounting or Business and six (6) years of related professional work experience in a large and highly complex hospital/healthcare system.
• Preferred certifications: CPA, CMA, or CHFP.
• Ability to work effectively to produce results and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, highly complex organization.
• Strong planning, organizational, and multitasking skills for large volumes of work and projects.
• Professional interaction and communication with all levels of internal and external customers, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to guide and manage staff.
• Strong analytical skills and solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Access). MS PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat are a plus.
