M. Hudson Design is hiring a Senior Landscape Architect to join our high-end residential landscape design firm in Jupiter, Florida. We are ideally looking for someone local to Jupiter, Palm Beach County, or the surrounding South Florida area, or seriously willing to relocate to the area.

About The Role
The Senior Landscape Architect will lead luxury residential landscape design projects while working closely with the owner and internal team. You will guide the design process, mentor a junior designer, oversee freelance drafting and 3D graphics support, and help keep projects moving from concept through execution. This person will directly lead a small design team and collaborate with a second design team as the company continues to grow.
Responsibilities
- Lead high-end residential landscape design projects
- Serve as the senior design lead for your team
- Mentor and support junior design talent
- Oversee drafting and 3D graphics production support
- Review plans, drawings, graphics, and design deliverables
- Participate in design meetings and project updates
- Collaborate closely with the owner on design direction
- Help improve design workflows, standards, and team communication
- Support the growth and leadership of the design team
Requirements
- 5 to 7+ years of landscape architecture or high-end residential landscape design experience
- Local to Jupiter, Palm Beach County, or the surrounding South Florida area, or seriously open to relocating
- Strong experience in residential landscape architecture, luxury outdoor living, or estate design
- Licensed Landscape Architect preferred; open to candidates actively pursuing licensure or eligible to become licensed
- Ability to lead design work and mentor others
- Strong design eye and attention to detail
- Clear communication and follow-through
- Comfortable in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment
- Willing to be in office during the initial ramp-up period
Schedule
This is a hybrid role, but the first three months are expected to be in person at our Jupiter office. After the initial ramp-up period, the role can move into a hybrid structure for someone who has proven they can communicate well, lead effectively, and get the job done.
