About the role

The Senior Laboratory Operations Associate plays a critical role in supporting the laboratory operations and ensuring the smooth execution of various research projects. This individual will be responsible for managing laboratory equipment, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and assisting with the coordination of experiments.

Responsibilities

  • Manage laboratory equipment and ensure proper maintenance and calibration
  • Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment
  • Assist with the coordination of experiments and data collection
  • Support the preparation of samples and reagents for experiments
  • Collaborate with scientists to troubleshoot issues and optimize experimental procedures
  • Document and archive laboratory protocols and results

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., biology, chemistry, bioengineering)
  • At least 3 years of laboratory experience in a scientific setting
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with laboratory safety protocols and practices
  • Basic proficiency with laboratory equipment and software

Qualifications

  • Experience with molecular biology techniques such as PCR, sequencing, and protein assays
  • Knowledge of laboratory safety regulations and practices
