About the role
The Senior Laboratory Operations Associate plays a critical role in supporting the laboratory operations and ensuring the smooth execution of various research projects. This individual will be responsible for managing laboratory equipment, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and assisting with the coordination of experiments.
Responsibilities
- Manage laboratory equipment and ensure proper maintenance and calibration
- Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment
- Assist with the coordination of experiments and data collection
- Support the preparation of samples and reagents for experiments
- Collaborate with scientists to troubleshoot issues and optimize experimental procedures
- Document and archive laboratory protocols and results
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., biology, chemistry, bioengineering)
- At least 3 years of laboratory experience in a scientific setting
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with laboratory safety protocols and practices
- Basic proficiency with laboratory equipment and software
Qualifications
- Experience with molecular biology techniques such as PCR, sequencing, and protein assays
- Knowledge of laboratory safety regulations and practices
