Senior Laboratory Manager

About the role

The Senior Laboratory Manager oversees all laboratory operations at Planned Parenthood of Northern New England's Barre, VT health center. This position is part-time and requires on-site work.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily laboratory activities ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Manage and train laboratory staff to ensure accurate and timely testing results.
• Develop and maintain laboratory protocols and procedures.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure appropriate specimen collection and handling.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and policies.
• Perform quality control checks to maintain laboratory accuracy and reliability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., biology, chemistry).
• Minimum 5 years of laboratory management experience.
• Experience working in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and emergency response procedures.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Pay
