About the Role

Responsibilities

  • Makes decisions regarding sample quantity and quality based on predetermined criteria.
  • Builds work lists and plate diagrams to aid team in daily operations.
  • Enters laboratory results into database under supervision of team member.
  • Maintains completed daily specimen storage area per laboratory department.
  • Performs daily work assignments accurately and in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • High / Secondary school diploma or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification.
  • Technical positions may require a certificate.
  • Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to at least 4 years) or equivalent combination of education, training, & experience.

Qualifications

  • Microbiology experience is highly desired.
  • GMP exp is a strong nice to have.
  • Basic technical/scientific terminology knowledge.
  • Good cooperative and collaborative skills.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to adhere to laboratory policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality of client protocols and study data.
  • Able to work in a collaborative team environment.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Microbiology experience is highly desired.

Working Environment

  • Frequent drives to site locations.
  • Frequent travel, generally 60-80% but more for some individuals.
  • Able to communicate, receive, and understand information and ideas with diverse groups of people in a comprehensible and reasonable manner.
  • Able to work upright and stationary and/or standing for typical working hours.
  • Able to lift and move objects up to 25 pounds.
  • Able to work in non-traditional work environments.
  • Able to use and learn standard office equipment and technology with proficiency.
  • May have exposure to potentially hazardous elements, including infectious agents, typically found in healthcare or laboratory environments.
  • Able to perform successfully under pressure while prioritizing and handling multiple projects or activities.

Pay and Benefits

The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in Massachusetts is $28.00–$33.00. This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
