Senior Java Web Engineer

About the role

The Consultant will play a key role in a high-priority upgrade and conversion project, contributing immediately upon onboarding. The Consultant will work closely with the IT Development team and business stakeholders to ensure seamless execution and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Enhance existing applications using Java 17/21 and Spring Boot
• Interact with Oracle databases using SQL and PL/SQL
• Develop new front-end pages with HTML, CSS, Bootstrap and AJAX
• Work with AWS infrastructure including EC2, Lambda, and S3
• Enhance existing front ends using Thymeleaf, HTML, CSS and AJAX
• Write thorough, correct unit tests using JUnit and Mockito

Qualifications

• Strong technical expertise in AWS technologies
• Experience with Java 17/21 and Spring Boot
• Proficiency with Oracle databases, SQL, and PL/SQL
• Front-end development skills including HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, AJAX, and Thymeleaf
• Testing experience with JUnit and Mockito

Location & Schedule

Hybrid - Holyoke, Massachusetts. In-person interview required.

Duration

12 months with possible extension. W2 engagement only.
