Senior Java Web Application Developer

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Java Web Application Developer to join the team of a leader in the Technical Services space. This role will support the design and development of secure, mission-critical web applications that help meet operational needs in a high-impact environment. The ideal candidate will contribute across the full stack, from user interface components to backend services, while partnering with architects, developers, and security stakeholders to deliver reliable solutions. You will also help modernize existing applications, improve performance, and ensure the software aligns with technical and cybersecurity requirements. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $107,900 – $195,050 annually Responsibilities Develop full-stack web applications to support operational needs Document and validate web application requirements Develop automated tests in line with test plans Provide architectural design support for web applications Participate in software design discussions and recommend tools and technologies Refactor and update existing web applications to enhance features and performance Review cybersecurity posture to ensure compliance with software security requirements Qualifications U.S. citizen with an active Secret clearance Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree and 6+ years of relevant experience 6+ years of experience in full-stack web application development 8+ years of experience with web UI components, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, NodeJS, and Angular 4+ years of experience designing and building RESTful web services 6+ years of experience with Java EE/Jakarta EE, Servlets, and JDBC Experience with PostgreSQL or an equivalent database and SQL queries Benefits Remote work eligibility Opportunity to work on mission-critical projects for the Department of Defense Collaborative team environment Focus on innovation and rapid development Emphasis on professional growth and skill enhancement Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
