Senior Java Software Engineer
About the role
We are seeking a Senior Java Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and maintenance of high-quality software applications.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of software applications to support Fiserv's business goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Perform coding, testing, and debugging of applications to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Maintain and improve existing codebases and lead peer review processes.
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance to enhance team capabilities.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in software development
- 3+ years of experience in Java
- 3+ years of experience in SQL databases
- 3+ years of experience in AWS, Azure, or GCP services
- 3+ years of experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- 3+ years of experience with Agile methodologies
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent industry experience)
Qualifications
- Experience in the financial services industry, specifically card processing is a plus
- Experience with C programming is a plus

- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of software development best practices

Pay
The salary range for this role is $110,000.00 - $186,000.00. The actual salary will vary based on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
This role is on-site Monday through Friday.
