About the role

As a Senior Java/Kafka Engineer – AVP, you will support the design and evolution of infrastructure platforms that underpin critical applications, working across software, infrastructure, and cloud environments to improve reliability, scalability, and day-to-day operability of technology services.
Responsibilities
- Support the design and development of software solutions using industry-aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools.
- Ensure that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
- Cross-functional collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
- Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization's technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
- Implement effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
Requirements
- Experience with Java programming with Spring and Spring Boot within a microservices architecture.
- Experience with Kafka architecture, including cluster design, performance tuning, and security.
- Experience with Kafka Streams or Flink for building end-to-end real-time data pipelines.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation using GitLab, including containerization and Docker deployment.
- Experience with Enterprise middleware integration patterns involving messaging systems.
Qualifications

- Experience working with Agile delivery methodologies.
- Ability to communicate clearly and work with geographically distributed teams.
- Understanding of operational support considerations for production systems.

Pay
Minimum Salary: $120,000
Maximum Salary: $175,000
