About the Role
This position supports a strategic initiative to modernize a Market-Linked Investments trading platform across Equity, Currency, Commodity, and Rates-Linked Notes. As part of the Wealth Management Trading Technology team, this role focuses on building scalable, resilient platforms using innovative technologies to support growing business demands. The ideal candidate is an experienced developer who thrives in complex, high-performance trading environments.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver complex end-to-end solutions using React/Angular, Node.js, Java, and relational databases.
- Utilize J2EE technologies and frameworks, including Spring (Core, MVC, Boot), JDBC, JMS, and SOAP/RESTful APIs for enterprise system integrations.
- Work with Message-Oriented Middleware (Kafka, JMS, MQ) and event-driven architectures.
- Implement microservices architectures, with exposure to cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Participate in and influence architecture and future design decisions.
- Ensure high availability, scalability, and reliability of applications through effective logging, caching, transaction management, multi-threading, and performance tuning.
- Ensure software solutions meet functional, non-functional, security, and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, participating in code and design reviews.
- Design and develop RESTful services, backend components, and UI features, including unit and integration tests.
- Translate business and architectural requirements into detailed technical tasks.
- Produce and maintain design documentation, ensuring usability, scalability, and performance standards are met.
- Work within Agile/Scrum teams to ensure timely software delivery.
Requirements
- Over 10 years of hands-on experience as a Software Developer specializing in J2EE technologies.
- Proven full-stack development experience is required.
- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
