Senior Java Full Stack Developer
About the role
This role supports large-scale application modernization initiatives focused on delivering scalable, cloud-ready, and production-resilient solutions. It's ideal for a hands-on engineer with deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and modern web frameworks.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and support full-stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Angular or React.
- Own feature delivery throughout the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements refinement through production support.
- Develop and maintain scalable REST APIs and microservices architectures.
- Build reusable, modular, and maintainable frontend components that integrate seamlessly with backend services.
- Implement and support Kafka-based event-driven solutions, including producers, consumers, and messaging integrations.
- Troubleshoot application, deployment, and production issues while ensuring system reliability and performance.
- Participate in code reviews, system design discussions, and technical problem-solving activities.
- Collaborate with QA, DevOps, and product teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Support observability, monitoring, alerting, and operational readiness initiatives for production deployments.
- Apply secure coding practices and adhere to regulatory, audit, compliance, and resilience requirements.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior developers through collaboration and code reviews.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of hands-on full-stack development experience.
- Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot.
- Proven experience designing and developing REST APIs and microservices-based applications.
- Strong frontend development experience with Angular or React.
- Hands-on experience with Kafka or similar messaging/event-streaming platforms.
- Advanced SQL skills with experience writing: Complex joins, Subqueries, Aggregations, Performance optimization and troubleshooting.
- Experience working with Docker and containerized applications.
- Understanding of OpenShift and/or Kubernetes concepts.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and troubleshooting build/deployment issues.
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to independently deliver complex features from design through production support.
Qualifications
- Experience with Micro Frontend (MFE) architectures.
- Exposure to AI developer productivity tools such as Amazon Q, Kiro, or similar platforms.
- Experience working in highly regulated or financial services environments.
- Familiarity with observability, logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions.
