Senior Java Developer (c2h)

About the role

We are seeking experienced Java senior developers to join our team working on a widely-deployed, multi-cloud, data-intensive cybersecurity product. This product is used by third parties to automate cloud security assessments and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Develop new functionalities for our core cybersecurity product.
• Work on a multi-cloud, data-intensive system deployed across various environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and other engineers.
• Ensure code quality through unit testing, code reviews, and adherence to design patterns.
• Participate in continuous integration and deployment processes using tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI.
• Contribute to the development of RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
• Utilize ORM frameworks such as JPA or JOOQ to interact with relational databases.
• Implement microservices architecture principles to enhance scalability and maintainability.
• Optimize database queries and perform performance tuning to meet high availability and reliability standards.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the overall codebase quality.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in the Java ecosystem and cybersecurity.

Requirements

• 10+ years of Java/JEE experience.
• A self-starter with the ability to acquire new knowledge and technologies, and thoughtfully solve problems.
• U.S. citizenship and clearance eligibility.
• Exposure to software construction practices such as unit testing, code reviews, code quality, etc.
• Excellent knowledge of the Spring ecosystem, especially Spring Core and Spring Boot.
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and Design Patterns.
• Deep understanding of enterprise integration patterns.
• Well-versed in distributed computing concepts.
• Extensive experience with RESTful APIs.
• Experience with GraphQL.
• Experience with ORMs.
• Experience with JOOQ.
• General understanding of widely used cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, etc.
• Understanding of container-based deployments and modern DevOps practices.
• Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, or Postgres.
• Experience with performance tuning, load testing, and query optimization.
