Senior Java Developer – AI-Enabled Development

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Java Developer with expertise in AI-enabled development to design, build, and maintain enterprise applications. This is a remote contract position open to candidates in the USA.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise Java applications and REST APIs.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and code quality.
• Participate in application modernization, code reviews, troubleshooting, CI/CD, and Agile delivery.
• Collaborate with architects, DevOps engineers, and business stakeholders.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of Java development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Microservices, OOP, Design Patterns, SQL/NoSQL, Git, CI/CD, and Agile methodologies.
• Experience building and supporting enterprise applications with strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on experience using AI development tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Cursor, Amazon Q, or similar to accelerate coding, refactoring, testing, debugging, documentation, API development, SQL generation, and code reviews.
• Working knowledge of LLMs, Prompt Engineering, RAG, Embeddings, Vector Search, AI APIs, AI code validation, and security/privacy best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting Federal/Government projects.
