Senior Java Backend Developer - Spring Boot & Microservices

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Java Backend Developer with expertise in Spring Boot and Microservices to design, develop, and maintain scalable applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java 17+ applications using Spring Boot and microservices architecture.
• Develop secure and high-performance RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Design microservices using appropriate patterns for scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
• Implement database solutions using Oracle and/or PostgreSQL.
• Develop data-access layers using JPA/Hibernate and optimize database queries.
• Containerize applications using Docker and deploy/manage services in Kubernetes environments.
• Build and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines for application build, testing, and deployment.
• Participate in architecture discussions, technical design, code reviews, and engineering best practices.
• Troubleshoot application, performance, integration, and production issues.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java 17+.
• Advanced experience with Spring Boot and Spring Framework.
• Experience with Docker and containerized applications.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes.
• Experience with observability tools, logging, monitoring, and distributed tracing.
• Familiarity with automated testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito.
• Experience with API security, OAuth 2.0, JWT, or similar authentication mechanisms.
• Experience implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture and design patterns.
• Strong experience developing RESTful APIs.
• Hands-on experience with JPA/Hibernate.
• Strong SQL and database experience with Oracle and/or PostgreSQL.
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, Agile methodologies, and engineering best practices.
• Java or cloud-related certification is a plus.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
