Senior Java Application Administrator / SRE / Hybrid in Dallas

About the role

The Senior Java Applications Administrator / SRE will maintain and optimize critical Java-based application environments while supporting cloud platforms, middleware technologies, automation initiatives, and enterprise security requirements.

Responsibilities

• Administer Java-based applications in production environments
• Administer JBoss and Apache Tomcat
• Administer IBM MQ and IBM Integration Bus/Broker
• Administer Microsoft Azure
• Administer Microsoft Power Platform
• Support UC4/Automic or similar enterprise scheduling tools
• Develop or integrate AI-enabled applications
• Develop application monitoring and observability tools
• Implement SOX-compliant controls and processes
• Drive reliability, improve operational efficiency, implement automation, and help modernize enterprise application environments
• Mentor and support other engineers

Requirements

• 8-12+ years of IT experience supporting enterprise application environments
• Experience administering Java-based applications in production environments
• Strong experience with JBoss and Apache Tomcat
• Hands-on experience administering IBM MQ and IBM Integration Bus/Broker
• Microsoft Azure administration experience
• Microsoft Power Platform administration experience
• Experience with UC4/Automic or similar enterprise scheduling tools
• PowerShell, Python, and Unix/Linux scripting experience
• Experience supporting Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions
• Strong SQL skills with SQL Server and Oracle
• Experience with application monitoring and observability tools
• Experience developing or integrating AI-enabled applications
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work with technical and business stakeholders
