Location: Bothell, WA - Hybrid role (3 days onsite/week)

About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Senior IT Project Manager to lead enterprise IT initiatives within a regulated electric and gas utility environment. This role is ideal for a delivery-focused leader who can step into a critical, in-flight GIS project, quickly assess the current state, stabilize execution, and drive the program forward with confidence. You will own the full project lifecycle while ensuring alignment to scope, schedule, budget, quality, and stakeholder expectations in a governed, compliance-sensitive setting.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of enterprise IT projects from project definition through implementation.
  • Assume ownership of an active GIS project at a critical stage and rapidly assimilate existing scope, plans, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder dynamics.
  • Stabilize project execution, re-establish momentum, and drive milestone achievement without a prolonged ramp-up period.
  • Develop, maintain, and manage detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, status reports, and project documentation.
  • Ensure project delivery meets agreed scope, cost, schedule, and quality targets.
  • Provide day-to-day leadership and direction to cross-functional project resources, including business stakeholders, internal IT teams, and third-party system integrators.
  • Establish and execute an effective communication plan for project teams, sponsors, and key stakeholders.
  • Identify, assess, escalate, and manage project risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies.
  • Lead plan recovery efforts and support re-baselining activities where required to restore delivery confidence.
  • Drive structured change management and formal change control processes throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Facilitate stakeholder alignment, expectation management, negotiation, and escalation resolution under schedule pressure.
  • Support a disciplined, transparent delivery approach within a regulated utility and compliance-focused operating environment.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of IT project management experience, including 5+ years leading enterprise application projects end to end.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering IT projects within a regulated electric, gas, or combination utility environment.
  • Working knowledge of utility network and asset landscapes.
  • Proven GIS project delivery experience, including implementation, upgrade, migration, or integration of enterprise geospatial platforms in operational environments.
  • Demonstrated success taking over an in-flight project mid-lifecycle, including rapid current-state assessment, delivery recovery, and re-baselining when needed.
  • Strong track record of accountability for scope, cost, schedule, and quality on projects of similar size and complexity.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams spanning business users, IT, and external implementation partners.
  • Experience with structured change management and change control in governed, compliance-sensitive organizations.
  • Strong capability in project documentation, executive status reporting, and budget tracking.
  • Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, negotiation, planning, leadership, decision-making, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated composure, credibility, and sound judgment when managing stakeholders in high-pressure situations.
  • Specialized proficiency in MS Project, Visio, Excel, and Word.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with ArcGIS Utility Network or comparable geospatial utility platforms.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $92,250 to $120,000 plus incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on work location, qualifications, skills, education, experience, and competencies.

Benefits

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Comprehensive employee assistance program
  • 401(k) retirement plan
  • Paid time off and holidays
