Role Description

The Senior IT Project Manager, EHR Implementation will lead complex electronic health record (EHR) implementation projects from initiation through completion. This contract, remote role is responsible for coordinating cross‑functional teams, managing timelines and budgets, and ensuring that technical solutions align with clinical and operational requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed project plans and track milestones.
• Manage risks, issues, and project budgets.
• Facilitate stakeholder communication across IT, clinical, and vendor partners.
• Oversee system configuration, testing, data migration, training, and go‑live support.
• Monitor project performance and prepare status reports.
• Drive continuous improvement across implementation activities.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills to interpret data, assess project performance, and support decision‑making.
• Program management and project planning expertise for leading complex initiatives, defining scope, and managing timelines and resources.
• Information technology knowledge, including EHR systems, integrations, and healthcare IT environments.
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with diverse stakeholders, documenting requirements, and delivering clear status updates.
• Experience managing large‑scale EHR or clinical system implementations in healthcare settings.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote environment and coordinate distributed teams.
• Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements related to clinical informatics and health IT.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Agile, ITIL) are beneficial.
