Senior IT Project Manager

DPP is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager for an opportunity with our client in the Aerospace and Defense industry. Work Location: Hybrid in Columbia, SC; onsite Tues, Wed, Thurs and as needed Duration: 12 months Terms: W2 Contract Responsibilities: Responsible for overall coordination, status reporting, and stability of project-oriented work efforts. Responsible for multiple work efforts of any size, from minimum complexity system/customer impacts to greater complexity system/customer impacts. Adheres to project management processes and methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budgeted hours, adheres to high-quality standards, and meets ISSM expectations. Monitors project plans, assignments and work efforts on a daily basis. Ensure resource needs are assigned appropriately and escalate functional, quality, timeline issues. Tracks key project milestones and adjusts project plans to meet the needs of work effort. Responsible for leading the project from inception to final business acceptance and implementation. Mentors other project leads and participates in the training and development of staff.Required Qualifications: 5 years’ IT experience in a leadership capacity, including 2 years’ experience leading two or more concurrent project teams. Completion of the Training Program for Project Management may substitute for one year of experience. Bachelor's Degree;OR 4 years of job-related work experience;OR 2 years of job-related experience plus an associate’s degree in any major.Experience with Microsoft Office, Project Management Software (such as MS Project, Azure Dev Ops or similar).Preferred Qualifications: MS Project, Azure Dev Ops specifically are preferred of all project management software.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
