Senior IT Project Manager

We are seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to lead high-impact technology modernization projects within a centralized Department of Technology. Responsibilities include:Leading complex, multi-year IT projects from initiation to implementation, ensuring timely, within-budget delivery that aligns with organizational goals.Managing project scope, objectives, resources, risks, and success metrics; developing project plans, charters, and status reports.Engaging stakeholders across departments, vendors, and external partners to facilitate decision-making and ensure project alignment.Overseeing technical activities such as system integration, deployment, testing, and ensuring compliance with security and governance standards.Managing vendor relationships, procurement, and contract execution while monitoring performance and deliverables.Supporting governance processes, reporting, and promoting continuous improvement in project delivery practices.Leading cross-functional teams, mentoring staff, and fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation.Qualifications:Possession of a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field with at least 4 years of experience in managing large-scale IT projects, or 8+ years of relevant experience.Desirable qualifications include 10+ years in IT project management, PMP certification, experience with cybersecurity or application modernization, and familiarity with methodologies like Agile, Waterfall, or ITIL.Strong communication skills, strategic thinking, and ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders are essential.The ideal candidate will: deliver measurable business outcomes, build strong partnerships, drive organizational change, and ensure user adoption while minimizing disruption.
