Senior IT Project Manager

About the role

Hybrid role based in New York, NY (3 days per week in the office). Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week, 6-month duration.

Responsibilities

• Develop a comprehensive project plan outlining scope, objectives, timelines, budget, and resources.
• Manage the project team to ensure on-time, on-budget, and quality-compliant delivery.
• Identify risks and create mitigation strategies to keep the project on track and within budget.
• Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, core team members, and extended project teams.
• Communicate project progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders at all levels, including senior management and sponsors.
• Manage project resources—personnel, equipment, and materials—for effective and efficient use.
• Ensure deliverables meet required quality standards and that project processes are consistently followed.
• Manage changes to scope, schedule, or budget with proper documentation and approval.
• Ensure timely and efficient completion and close-out of all project deliverables.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of Project Management experience.
• Experience managing finance system projects is preferred.
• Minimum experience with 5 full Project Life Cycles, preferably with multinational corporations.
• Experience with both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
• Expertise in using Project Planning Management tools.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) to convey information clearly and concisely to stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve project goals.
• Good time management skills to manage own time and the time of team members to meet project deadlines.
• Problem-solving skills to effectively identify and resolve issues that arise during the project.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a proactive approach to tasks.

Preferred Skills

• Planview experience is required.
