Reporting to the Vice President of Information Technology, this role serves as a key technical lead for enterprise infrastructure architecture, including network design, on-premises and cloud hosting strategies, virtualization platforms, security systems, and disaster recovery planning. Regular on-site presence is required to support manufacturing and warehouse operations.

Responsibilities
Network Administration & Infrastructure
- Manage, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure, including Fortinet firewalls, switches, and Ubiquiti UniFi wireless environments.
- Design and maintain secure network segmentation through VLAN configuration for both Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) environments.
- Administer firewall policies, routing, and network security controls in partnership with external managed service providers.
- Ensure reliable connectivity between physical sites, cloud-hosted services, and remote users.
- Monitor network performance and proactively resolve connectivity, capacity, and security issues.
Systems & Cloud Administration
- Administer and maintain Microsoft Windows server environments.
- Manage and support VMware virtualized infrastructure while leading the organization's transition to a Hyper-V hyper-converged environment.
- Administer Microsoft Azure services, including virtual machines, networking, storage, identity management, and Microsoft 365 services.
- Develop and maintain system deployment images and templates for desktops, laptops, and servers.
- Ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of enterprise systems.
Security & Compliance
- Deploy, configure, and maintain cybersecurity solutions, including XDR and SIEM technologies.
- Ensure timely installation of software updates, security patches, and vulnerability remediation measures.
- Monitor infrastructure and application logs to identify and address potential security threats.
- Partner with leadership and external vendors to maintain a secure technology environment aligned with industry best practices.
Backup, Recovery & Business Continuity
- Design, manage, and continuously improve backup and recovery solutions, including Veeam and Azure Site Recovery (ASR).
- Maintain disaster recovery plans and validate system recovery procedures through testing and documentation.
- Ensure the security, integrity, and availability of company data and systems.
Operational Support
- Serve as the primary technical resource for network and infrastructure-related incidents.
- Provide rapid troubleshooting and resolution for business-critical system outages and performance issues.
- Participate in scheduled maintenance activities, including shared responsibility for server patching during designated maintenance windows.
- Maintain documentation for infrastructure architecture, systems, policies, procedures, and technical standards.
Physical Security & Asset Management
- Support and administer building access control and alarm systems in partnership with third-party vendors.
- Monitor the lifecycle of IT assets, including infrastructure equipment, workstations, printers, and related technologies.
- Provide recommendations during annual budgeting and technology planning processes regarding infrastructure upgrades and replacement needs.
Automation & Deployment
- Manage endpoint deployment and device lifecycle processes using Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT), and Windows Deployment Services (WDS).
- Develop and maintain scripts and automation solutions to improve efficiency, consistency, and system reliability.
- Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve overall IT operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Administration, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience administering enterprise networks, server environments, and Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure required. 7+ years of experience preferred.
- Proven experience supporting and maintaining critical enterprise systems in a multi-site environment.
- Demonstrated experience planning and implementing infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and technology improvement initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of network architecture, routing, switching, firewall administration, and networking protocols.
- Advanced experience with Microsoft Windows Server administration.
- Experience administering Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 environments.
- Experience with virtualization technologies, including VMware and Hyper-V.
- Knowledge of backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
- Experience with cybersecurity tools and modern security frameworks, including XDR and SIEM platforms.
- Proficiency with endpoint management and deployment tools, including Microsoft Intune, MDT, and WDS.
- Experience with scripting and automation tools such as PowerShell, Python, VBScript, or similar technologies.

- Understanding of 503B regulatory requirements, cGMP standards, and USP guidelines is a plus.
- Proficient written, verbal and oral English communication skills are required.
