Senior IT Engineer

Job Summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Senior IT Engineer to support a company supporting the Congressional Budget Office (CBO). This position is remote based out of McLean, VA. This is a contract opportunity supporting a mission-critical federal environment focused on secure endpoint engineering, compliance enforcement, and modernization of enterprise IT systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain workstation images for macOS and Windows, as well as VDI and remote access formulation
• Engineer and enforce endpoint configuration baselines using the following: Intune, Ivanti, KACE, and Windows Autopilot
• Implement and manage OS and application patching processes
• Support device lifecycle management using Intune, Autopilot, Apple Business Manager, and JAMF
• Ensure log forwarding to SIEM and EDR platforms

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in IT, Endpoint Engineering, or Cybersecurity
• 6+ years of enterprise engineering experience (non-help desk)
• Hands-on experience with Ivanti and/or KACE for patch management and experience with Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot, and JAMF Pro
• Experience working in federal environments
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Active Top Secret (TS) clearance required

Compensation

• Salary Range: $110,000 – $124,000 **depending on experience**
