Salary: Up to $245,000, depending on qualifications, including relevant certifications, education, years of experience, and demonstrated experience supporting Federal Government programs within the field.

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior IT Architect (Team Lead) to serve as a senior technical authority responsible for designing and guiding complex information technology solutions. This role will lead architectural efforts from concept through development and production, ensuring solutions align with business requirements, technical standards, security requirements, quality standards, and project schedules.

The successful candidate will work closely with customers, technical teams, management, and other stakeholders to evaluate alternatives, resolve complex integration challenges, and deliver scalable IT solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop new software solutions or perform extensive software revisions for customers.
  • Serve as a senior-level technical expert responsible for developing high-level architectural specifications.
  • Address complex systems integration, interoperability, compatibility, and technical architecture challenges.
  • Conduct technical research and evaluate project feasibility, technology options, and architectural alternatives for management.
  • Gather and analyze customer requirements and translate them into technical and architectural solutions.
  • Analyze IT project costs and develop alternatives analysis to support technical and business decisions.
  • Conceive, evaluate, prototype, and present architectural approaches for information technology and systems, including software, hardware, infrastructure, and business processes.
  • Establish project schedules, assign responsibilities, monitor progress, and communicate project status.
  • Coordinate and provide technical oversight for projects to ensure successful completion within established schedules and deadlines.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with customers, technical teams, management, and other departments.
  • Coordinate development, beta, and production releases that meet quality assurance standards.
  • Lead source control management and support automated testing and continuous integration throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Manage change, release, configuration, and software lifecycle processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in designing and developing software solutions or performing extensive software revisions.
  • Strong leadership, communication, analytical, problem-solving, and technical decision-making skills.

  • TOGAF Certification
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
  • Google Professional Cloud Architect
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
  • ISACA Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
  • PMI Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM)
  • ITIL 4 Foundation or higher
  • Certified SAFe® Architect or equivalent Agile architecture certification
