Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys in all phases of IP litigation from case initiation through trial.
- Aid with and draft court filings and preparations in Federal and State courts.
- Support discovery, document collection, organization, review, and productions.
- Aid with invalidity and infringement contentions and associated productions.
- Aid with claim construction briefing and Markman hearing preparation.
- Proofread, cite check and blue book court briefs and discovery documents.
- Assist with deposition, meeting, or interview preparations.
- Perform various day-to-day case management tasks.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior paralegals and legal assistants as needed.
Qualifications
- Ability to support complex litigation cases from beginning to end.
- Excellent organizational skills and a strong attention to detail.
- Flexible and able to multi-task, balancing priorities and tight deadlines.
- Proactive and able to efficiently handle multiple projects and client matters simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with members across multiple offices.
- Available to travel as needed.
- Ability to work overtime as necessary.
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- 5+ years of relevant experience preferred.
- Understanding of common litigation practices, procedures, regulations, and workflow.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe.
- Proficient in Lexis Nexis and Westlaw.
- Proficient in iManage.
- Experience with eDiscovery Databases such as Relativity, Opus 2, and CaseMap.
- Experience with USPTO Patent Center and ability to obtain patents, prosecution histories, and prior art.
- Proficient with patent terminology and citations.
Pay
The estimated base salary range for this position is $135,000 to $150,000 at the time of posting. The actual salary offered will depend on a variety of job-related factors, including skills, education, training, credentials, experience, scope and complexity of role responsibilities, geographic location, and performance.
Schedule
This role is non-exempt meaning that it is overtime pay eligible.
