Responsibilities
- Serve as Lead Technician
- Receives prescription orders, weekly batches or refill requests and accurately and efficiently fills the prescriptions under the direction of the Pharmacist.
- Performs pharmacy tasks such as handling, counting, mixing and packaging medications.
- Is responsible for selecting and importing orders for automation equipment dispensing, printing labels, and order management required to dispense prescriptions order.
- Operates and monitors robotic machines that dispense medications.
- Aids in preparing blister packs, preparing and staging pharmaceutical supplies and drugs in the correct baskets and properly labeling them for delivery.
- Performs reclamation duties.
- Uses pharmacy software to check and record data about prescriptions.
- Oversees workflow management for pharmacy technicians in assigned location.
- Schedules rotations of pharmacy technicians.
- Receiving merchandise putting merchandise in appropriate location.
- Reviewing stock for expired medications and replacing.
- Assist with automation process.
- Submission of daily PO’s and invoices, Weekly and monthly statement reconciliations.
- Understanding the abilities, services, navigation and reports within systems.
- Handling compound decrements.
- Handling returns.
- Checking cycle counts.
- Placing small orders.
- Checking in orders.
- Getting approvals for daily statements.
- Assisting with retrieval of information for SOX audits and cycle counts within the lab.
Qualifications
- Required Education: 1 year of Lead Pharmacy Technician experience. Six months of inventory experience in a similar role.
- Prioritization and Organization: Ability to compile, code, categorize, calculate and verify data; count, measure and weigh Rx components.
- Technical Skills: Subject Matter Expert in all aspects of TRHC pharmacy automation in order to assist and answer any technician operational duties from other staff technicians.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively and professionally through written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Computer Proficiency: Proficient with MS Office Suite.
