About the Role
The SIU Internal Investigator is responsible for reviewing and validating referred claims and policies through phone-based and online investigations. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to document investigative findings clearly and accurately for review by the appropriate business partners.
Responsibilities
- Review and validate referred claims and policies through phone-based and online investigations
- Document investigative findings clearly and accurately for review by the appropriate business partners
- Provide support to internal teams and external customers as needed
Requirements
- Prior SIU, law enforcement, or extensive claims experience
- A medical investigative background is strongly preferred
- A college degree or active pursuit of a degree is preferred
- Disciplined, self-motivated, and able to work independently while managing challenging customer interactions by phone and online
- Strong computer skills
- Sound investigative judgment
- The ability to prepare detailed investigative reports in a timely and efficient manner
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to pass a background check
- Knowledge of insurance claims processes

Pay
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
Schedule
This position follows a hybrid work schedule. The selected candidate will report to the Fredericksburg, Virginia office two days per week and work remotely for the remaining three days of the work week.
