Senior Intelligence Analyst

Advance the mission with the Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) as a Senior Intelligence Analyst at Headquarters Air Combat Command (HQ ACC), Directorate of Intelligence (A2), Plans and Programs Division (A2X), located at Joint Base Langley–Eustis, Hampton, Virginia. Moving expenses may be paid.

About the Role

As a key member of the ACC Intelligence Directorate team, you will establish the future threat baseline and intelligence support requirements for all ACC-lead capability development activities. You will serve as an expert on ACC-provided capabilities across core functions, providing all-source analysis on threats to ensure Air Force modernization capitalizes on the best of the defense intelligence enterprise.

You will work closely with Department of the Air Force (DAF) and United States Intelligence Community (IC) counterparts to integrate the full spectrum of IC product lines in support of ACC operational and modernization requirements. You will also assess ACC-lead capability modernization to ensure DAF and national/joint Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) dependencies are appropriately captured. These efforts will require support to lead-command planning, programming, budgeting, and execution system (PPBES) efforts to ensure ISR and other capabilities support future ACC warfighting capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Establish the future threat baseline and intelligence support requirements for ACC-lead capability development.
• Provide all-source analysis on threats to support Air Force modernization.
• Integrate the full spectrum of Intelligence Community (IC) product lines in support of ACC operational and modernization requirements.
• Assess ACC-lead capability modernization to capture DAF and national/joint ISR dependencies.
• Support Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution System (PPBES) efforts for future ACC warfighting capabilities.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship (required).
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a “Top Secret” security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
• Must sign a non-disclosure agreement.
• Subject to psychological screening and polygraph testing.
• This is a designated drug-testing position.
• Depending on the type of position (competitive/excepted), a 1-year probationary period or 2-year trial period is required.

Qualifications

• Research & Collection: Knowledge of intelligence research and collection methods, techniques, and practices to use multi-source intelligence information systems for developing intelligence capabilities, hypotheses, theories, and threat assessments.
• Advanced Analytics: Knowledge of advanced analytical principles, concepts, and methods to produce detailed analyses of complex information from multiple sources.
• Enterprise Structure: Knowledge of the national intelligence community, Joint, Department of Defense (DoD) structure, organizations, mission/functions, inter-relationships, and operations.
• Information Integration: Skill in conducting unbiased complex research, identifying appropriate systems/data sources, and producing collection requirement assessments to link and leverage agency capabilities.
• Operational Decisions: Ability to maintain control of classified material, assimilate disparate data, render accurate assessments, and make decisions under urgency and pressure based on mature judgment and experience.

Skills

Highly desired qualifications include:

• An advanced intelligence-related, professional, or scientific degree.
• Experience navigating the defense resourcing lifecycle using Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) and Program Objective Memorandum (POM).

Pay

Salary range: $127,646 – $165,945 per year, based on experience.
