Senior Intellectual Property Counsel

About the role

We are seeking a strategic legal expert to lead global intellectual property (IP) strategy and manage complex patent, trademark, and copyright portfolios.

Responsibilities

• Advise leadership and cross-functional teams on IP risks, licensing, and commercialization.
• Oversee IP filings, prosecution, and portfolio management.
• Manage litigation, dispute resolution, and enforcement actions.
• Draft, review, and negotiate IP-related agreements such as licensing and technology transfer.
• Ensure compliance with international IP laws.
• Collaborate with R&D, product, and marketing teams to identify and protect innovations.

Requirements

• 7+ years of IP-focused legal experience.
• Strong negotiation, drafting, and analytical skills.
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in fast-paced environments.
• Admission to a U.S. state bar and U.S. Patent Bar.

Qualifications

• J.D. from a top-ranked law school (preferred).
• Experience in both law firms and in-house settings (preferred).
