About the role

We are seeking a Senior Integrated Water Resources Planner/Engineer to join our Water Resources team. This role involves leading complex planning and environmental compliance projects for the federal government, preparing compliance documents, directing work of others, and managing projects.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and direct medium- to large-size planning and environmental compliance projects on behalf of the federal government
  • Prepare, plan, and analyze compliance documents
  • Direct work of others in completion of required studies, documents, and reports
  • Perform extensive public participation, agency coordination, planning, and programming
  • Develop study opportunities with a variety of non-federal sponsors
  • Work independently and in a collaborative team environment
  • Write and communicate effectively

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or closely related field
  • Minimum of 10 years technical and/or field experience in complex environmental planning projects
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Extensive public participation, agency coordination, planning, and programming experience
  • Experience with federal plan formulation requirements

Qualifications

  • Experience with federal plan formulation requirements
  • Experience with smart planning frameworks
  • Experience with environmental compliance and permitting processes
  • Experience with watershed scale feasibility studies/assessments
  • Experience with complex hydraulic, power modeling, hydrology development and analysis
  • Experience with climate change modeling
  • Experience with cost benefit analysis and statistical analysis

Skills

  • Strong conceptual, organizational, problem-solving, and research abilities
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with MS Office Suite

Pay

The expected compensation range for this position is $100,000 - $195,000 depending upon skills, experience, education, and geographical location.
