Senior Inspector (SCDOT Technician)

About the role

NOVA Engineering is seeking a Senior Construction Inspector (SCDOT) in our Greenville, SC office. We are looking for a self-motivated individual with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic. Positions offer the opportunity for growth and advancement for the successful candidate.

Responsibilities

• Perform field services for soils, foundations, pavement sections, reinforced concrete, structural masonry, wood framing, structural steel and other special inspections, as applicable.
• Coordinate with contractors, and NOVA staff regarding execution of required services and result of testing and/or inspections, as applicable.
• Prepare detailed and complete daily field reports.

Requirements

• SCDOT Asphalt Roadway Technician (ART) certification is required.
• SCDOT Earthworks certification is a plus.
• 2+ years of experience in construction inspection with a focus on roadway field inspection and HMA quality assurance lab testing.
• Highly desired with a minimum of 3 years of experience in roadway and bridge construction.
• Strong knowledge of SCDOT construction standards and procedures.
