Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate daily field inspection activities.
- Supervise inspectors and materials testing technicians.
- Ensure construction work complies with project plans, specifications, and contract requirements.
- Review Daily Work Reports prepared by field inspectors.
- Monitor contractor operations including earthwork, drainage, paving, bridge construction, and utilities.
- Verify quantities of materials incorporated into the project.
- Cover materials testing and verify test results.
- Identify construction issues and coordinate with project management staff for resolution.
- Monitor maintenance of traffic operations and jobsite safety.
Requirements
- Minimum 7–10 years of experience in highway or bridge construction inspection.
- NICET Level III or IV certification in Transportation Construction Inspection or Construction Materials Testing.
- ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade I certification.
- PREFERRED: ATSSA Traffic Control Supervisor (TCS) certification.
- Nuclear Density Gauge Safety Certification.
- Erosion and sediment control inspector certification.
- MATCI or equivalent Mid-Atlantic transportation construction inspection certification.

Skills
Experience in highway or bridge construction inspection, NICET Level III or IV certification in Transportation Construction Inspection or Construction Materials Testing, ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade I certification, and preferred certifications in traffic control supervisor and erosion and sediment control inspector are required.
