Position Summary

The Senior Inside Sales Representative (Sr. ISR), supporting Solutions Consultants, introduces product offerings throughout the sales process, ensuring quality and excellent customer service to increase sales. The Sr. ISR builds long-term relationships by expanding services and improving results within the Sales organization.

Roles and Responsibilities/ Essential Functions

  • Quote and process orders for high-end solutions, including phone systems, network and servers, virtualization, etc.
  • Work closely with vendors/manufacturers to negotiate discounts and pricing.
  • Manage the entire sales, service, and support cycles from start to finish to ensure all quoted products and services are delivered and installed as expected.
  • Partner with internal resources for scheduling services and product delivery.
  • Provide post-install support, including follow-up with customers to ensure concerns are addressed and hardware/software registrations are properly recorded.
  • Achieve individual sales goals based on account load and line of business.
  • Reach monthly sales goals for assigned sales team.
  • Gather information from clients to plan and schedule meetings and assist with client projects.
  • Maximize existing client relationships by being the primary contact and facilitating issue resolution within Heartland.
  • Act as liaison between Accounting and Solutions Consultants for collection issues, order questions, service block follow-ups, missing signatures, and other problem situations.
  • Identify new opportunities for customers and communicate these to relevant solutions consultants.
  • Handle complex issues and refer only the most challenging to higher-level staff.
  • Propose sales support process improvements and collaborate with other ISR's to foster a team environment.
  • Support Solutions Consultants in delivering quarterly business reviews to clients.
  • Assist less experienced Inside Sales Representatives with training or answering questions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Education/Experience/Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years in an Inside Sales/Account Specialist role in an IT-related field
  • High level of attention to detail, aptitude to learn, ability to multitask and manage multiple projects
  • Proficiency in using a computer and working with Microsoft Office software

Preferred Experience

  • 4+ Years IT industry experience

Preferred Skills, Education and/or Certifications

  • Ability to prospect, assess needs, overcome objections, and close sales via the telephone and in person
  • Cisco Blackbelt and/or Microsoft AZ-900 Certifications
