Essential Functions And Responsibilities

  • Supports the activities of the Information Technology department by actively engaging in the network and systems environment to ensure maximum availability, security, performance, capacity, and responsiveness.
  • Planner, implements, and maintains all hardware and software platforms which comprise the enterprise compute and network environment, including but not limited to routers, switches, firewalls, servers, virtualization technologies, and VPNs.
  • Administers Windows and Linux Network Operating systems.
  • Develops, executes, and maintains group policy and Active Directory / LDAP.
  • Oversees network performance and monitoring.
  • Troubleshoots network issues and creates plans for improved performance, availability, and efficiencies.
  • Manages the infrastructure support ticketing system to resolve system and escalated user issues.
  • Collaborates with third-party vendors and partners as needed.
  • Engages in the implementation of infrastructure improvements.
  • Develops project plans, maintains regular upgrade schedules, and brings forth recommendations.
  • Participates in developing, documenting, updating, and testing business continuity plans.
  • Designs, develops, and maintains procedures and network diagrams of the Credit Union technology environment.
  • Participates in an on-call rotation for after-hours critical systems monitoring and support.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Knowledge And Skills

  • Experience: Three to five years of related experience. Experience within the financial industry is preferred.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field required or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Skills: Proficiency in the use and troubleshooting of Microsoft Windows Server, Linux, Enterprise Wi-Fi, Active Directory, VoIP, PowerShell, Group Policy, VMware, Network Systems, and Equipment. Efficient with multitasking, problem-solving, decision making, and practical application.

Interpersonal Skills

  • Buils relationships and fosters positive interactions with Credit Union team members, vendors, and members by demonstrating friendly, helpful, and efficient service.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, patience, active listening, and sound judgment are required.
  • Communicates effectively with users having varying technical backgrounds.
