About the role

This opportunity to ensure the efficient operation of WSP's internal Enterprise Compute and Storage services is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Enterprise Compute and Storage Infrastructure Specialist. This role will report to Senior Manager Enterprise Compute and Storage.

Responsibilities

  • Work on highly complex matters and assignments of large scope, impact, and importance.
  • Identify opportunities for improvements in people, processes, and technology with professionals and management.
  • Develop methods, techniques, and various analytical approaches for team members.
  • Solve significant problems/issues by guiding team members.
  • Manage services, including service suppliers and/or manufacturer activities to align with expected service levels.
  • Establish and maintain standards, processes & procedures relating to the operation of all aspects of the services.
  • Stay current in the knowledge and use of technology to provide recommendations for improving the consistency and cost effectiveness of the services.
  • Ensure appropriate documentation is available and accurate.
  • Create, monitor, and manage metrics and KPIs to proactively assess infrastructure performance and capacity.
  • Create, execute, and manage repeatable routines that proactively identify improvements.
  • Conduct regular scheduled capacity planning/management activities.
  • Proactively remediate identified performance, health, or capacity issues.
  • Audit for standards compliance.
  • Support activities for IT regulations and compliance.
  • Enhance and enforce service transition processes that protect the stability of network operations.
  • Plan for the execution of business continuity testing, reporting, and gap resolution.
  • Support problem management to resolve recurring issues.
  • Support the IT budget process by providing input and direction as it relates to infrastructure and services.
  • Manage the lifecycle of infrastructure hardware components, software, licenses, and support subscriptions.
  • Own & maintain the integrity of the asset data across all IT platforms.
  • Evaluate and improve the effectiveness of operational monitoring.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of relevant and practical experience in an Enterprise Compute and Storage operations role.
  • Minimum 5-7 Years Experience in Design and Implementation with Hypervisors (Vmware, AHV, Hyper-v).
  • Minimum 5-7 Years Experience Design and Implementation in managing storage including Structured and Unstructured datasets.
  • Extensive in-depth knowledge of Enterprise Compute and Storage services and infrastructure.
  • Vendor certifications are preferred along with proven practical experience preferred.
  • Experience working in large/global enterprise IT with multiple distributed branch/campus sites.
  • Experience of working within ITIL aligned Service Management organisation.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to interact with all layers of management.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and little to no instructions.
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with excellent documentation abilities.
  • Excellent analytical and diagnostic problem-solving skills with the ability of providing solutions to identified problems.
  • Demonstrated experience in understanding and demonstrating compliance with information security requirements.
  • Knowledge and experience in performing information security practices in the management and delivery of infrastructure and operations.

Qualifications

Pay

Expected Salary (all locations): $89,600.00 - $156,600.00
Expected Salary (Colorado only): $89,600.00 - $147,000.00
