Key Responsibilities
- Lead the deployment, configuration, and support of OpenText BizLink/SecureLink/OpenText Data Integrator within BNY’s managed file transfer environment, including building and replicating environments across regions.
- Support Linux-based virtual machine environments and related infrastructure components required to host and maintain file transfer applications and services.
- Perform product, security, and application configuration activities, support testing efforts, and ensure successful deployment into QA and other target environments.
- Help ensure systems, applications, software, and hardware remain compliant with corporate policies, procedures, and established technology standards.
- Maintain and enhance documentation for solution design, build processes, implementation steps, and standard operating procedures.
- Develop and track detailed project plans, manage technical deliverables, and drive progress across a series of complex engineering initiatives.
- Provide production support, investigate platform issues, troubleshoot failures, and contribute to resolution efforts using available playbooks and engineering expertise.
- Partner with application development, quality assurance, testing, business teams, and infrastructure partners to understand technical requirements and support successful implementation outcomes.
- Submit and coordinate infrastructure and networking requests, applying knowledge of core networking concepts, system dependencies, and enterprise architecture considerations.
- Identify opportunities to improve reliability, resiliency, and efficiency through automation, scripting, and infrastructure process enhancements.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree, or 10+ years of relevant experience without a degree.
- Expert-level knowledge of OpenText BizLink/SecureLink suite, now rebranded as OpenText Data Integrator.
- Extensive experience developing, deploying, and supporting distributed applications.
- Strong understanding of enterprise IT environments, including infrastructure components, interdependencies, and business impact.
- Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems and Linux-based application environments.
- Experience with scripting, preferably Shell scripting, with Python knowledge also valuable.
- Understanding of networking concepts and ability to coordinate infrastructure-related requests effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-driven work style with excellent time management, task prioritization, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects independently, communicate blockers clearly, and recommend next steps proactively.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field preferred.
- Prior experience leading implementation efforts or selecting and applying vendor-specific methodologies.
- Experience with engineering-level managed file transfer products such as IBM Sterling Connect:Direct and IBM Sterling File Gateway.
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk.
- Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus, though candidates from other industries will also be considered.
- Experience working in highly regulated enterprise environments with production support, deployment, and platform standardization responsibilities.
