Senior Infrastructure Engineer

About the role

Working on the Operations Delivery team, the IT Infrastructure Engineer is focused on assisting with the design, deployment, validation, and implementation of scalable solutions within infrastructure, networking, cloud, and security. The role includes maintaining and upgrading infrastructure such as servers, email delivery systems, storage, routers, switches, firewalls, remote‑access systems, and network‑management systems in accordance with best practices and established processes.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, validate, and implement scalable infrastructure, networking, cloud, and security solutions.
• Maintain and upgrade servers, email delivery systems, storage, routers, switches, firewalls, remote‑access, and network‑management systems.
• Follow best practices and established processes for all infrastructure activities.
• Collaborate with consultants to identify innovative solutions for clients.
• Guide clients through selection, deployment, and management of tailored IT solutions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands‑on IT experience.
• Completion of the Centre Technologies Online Assessment (required for consideration).
• Preferred certifications:
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) – Windows Server 2016
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals
  • Cisco CCNA (Network Basics)
  • Check Point Certified Security Administrator (CCSA)
  • VMware vSphere 6.5 Foundations
  • Certified Network Defender (CND)
• Experience with managed service providers, operational management, and continuous improvement is preferred.

Skills

• Microsoft Stack: Office 365 (MCSA), Microsoft Intune, Windows Administration tools (AD Users and Computers, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy, Sites and Services), Active Directory, Exchange 2010/2013/2016/Office 365.
• Citrix technologies.
• Meraki & Cisco networking equipment.
• Virtualization: VMware technologies, Citrix.
• Management of on‑premises and hosted data‑center environments.
• Infrastructure and Operations services.
• Enterprise cloud migration and transformation.
• Intermediate knowledge of cloud economics and optimization.
• Experience with managed cloud services supporting AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
