Role Overview

The Senior or General Information Security Analyst is responsible for maintaining the stability, security, and integrity of electronic access control and monitoring systems. They troubleshoot, install, and maintain hardware and software, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and network monitoring tools. The role involves performing vulnerability assessments, security controls testing, change management, and network traffic analysis to ensure operational security and regulatory compliance.

Key Duties

• Ensure system reliability and security of cyber assets across multiple departments.
• Respond to anomalous events, analyze complex security incidents, and assist in incident response and forensic investigations.
• Conduct vulnerability testing, analyze network configurations, and implement security measures.
• Review logs, configurations, user accounts, and network traffic for policy adherence.
• Participate in industry, regulatory, and internal teams, including working groups and business continuity exercises.
• Research network products, protocols, and standards to stay current in the security industry.

Qualifications & Skills

• A bachelor's degree in a related field with 2-5 years of experience in information security or related areas.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, Cisco routing/switching, firewalls, and VPNs preferred.
• Certifications like CCNA, CISSP, or Security+ are advantageous.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and planning skills are essential.
