Senior Information Security Analyst (G32)
About the role
PACCAR seeks a Senior Information Security Analyst to provide expert guidance on information security. The role requires technical expertise in information security, a broad IT background, familiarity with PACCAR systems, networks, and IT processes, and the ability to perform independent research on security vulnerabilities. The individual will serve as a subject matter expert on security.
Responsibilities
- Advise on risks associated with solutions, including but not limited to: network, OS, hardware, application, software coding, and architecture.
- Advise on legal and regulatory statutes (nationally and internationally), such as HIPAA, PCI, SOX, FRCP, GLB, state privacy laws, European Privacy Directive, and Safe Harbor Provision.
- Develop and advise on security architecture.
- Assist with the development of global security strategies.
- Help develop and refine a secure cloud architecture approach.
- Research and evaluate findings on security vulnerabilities.
- Research and develop options to mitigate or remove risk.
- Conduct investigations using forensics tools.
- Support eDiscovery efforts for litigation response.
- Support and enhance the incident response process.
- Provide guidance on balancing business needs vs. exposure/risk.
- Develop standards for information security.
- Develop security metrics/KPIs that have business relevance.
- Mentor others in information security roles.
- Present findings and recommendations to varying levels, including upper management.
- Prepare positioning papers for PACCAR related to information security.
- Speak for the Chief Information Security Officer on security matters as required.
- Willingness to speak on security at various events, conferences, or local colleges.
Requirements
- 8+ years of broad-based IT experience.
- Knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or CIS Controls.
- Familiarity with security tools (e.g., firewalls, intrusion detection systems, SIEM).
- Experience with vulnerability management and incident response.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (required).
- Master’s degree (strongly desired).
- CISSP, CISM, or other security certification (strongly desired).
- Recognition such as being published in periodicals or presenting papers at conferences (strongly desired).

Pay
The salary range for this position is $114,500 – $179,100 annually. This role is also eligible for a holiday gift.
