About the role

Join the team as an Information Assurance Engineer, where you will protect what matters most by ensuring the security and compliance of government systems. Work on-site at a customer facility in Boulder, Colorado, Buckley Air Force Base, or remotely from home (4-5 days/week on-site).

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain security artifacts such as Risk Management Framework (RMF) security plans, testing plans, and System Impact Analyses to ensure compliance and readiness.
  • Conduct security tests and vulnerability scans using manual and automated methods to identify and address risks.
  • Collaborate with Development and Test teams to integrate and verify security requirements in cloud-native DevSecOps environments.
  • Lead and support Assessment and Authorization (A&A) events, ensuring systems meet critical security standards.
  • Drive hands-on impact in securing government systems through proactive security measures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related Science, Technology, or Mathematics field.
  • 8+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience.
  • Department of Defense Secret security clearance required at time of hire; U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance (required).
  • Familiarity with NIST SP 800-53 RMF, STIGs, and the Assessment and Authorization process.
  • Strong understanding of Linux, Windows, and cloud-native technologies (FedRAMP experience is a plus).
  • Proactive security mindset with the ability to identify and challenge system behaviors that deviate from security principles.
  • Exceptional communication skills—both written and verbal—with the ability to convey complex security concepts clearly.

  • Identifies opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation.

Pay

Target salary range: USD $149,831.00/Yr. - USD $158,000.00/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range based on experience and geographic location.
