Senior Informaticist
About the role
The Senior Informaticist coordinates with other analytics, IT and business areas across the organization to ensure work is completed with insights from knowledge SMEs. The Senior Informaticist work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
Responsibilities
- Leverages advanced knowledge of data, modeling, optimization, and tools to apply disciplined analytics to predict behavior and optimize programs and products to maximize revenue growth.
- Utilizes advanced or predictive modeling to develop, test and validate cases that improve the outcomes and quality of the programs we offer.
- Begins to influence department’s strategy by making decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components.
- Contributes to more innovative approaches to financial models by building knowledge of the business context in which it operates.
- Understands and analyzes complex data, articulates to various units within the company at the appropriate level, and impacts the business from mathematical concepts which have a potentially sizeable dollar impact on the business.
Requirements
- Use your skills to make an impact with a Bachelor's degree and 5 or more years of data analytics experience OR a Master's degree and 3 years of experience.
- Track record of working with business partners in a consultative manner through the full scope of the project, including intake -> exploration -> consultation -> development -> results -> delivery.
- Experience with data mining and using data to drive business outcomes and decisions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to clearly communicate results at the right level for the respective audience, including senior leadership.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences.
Qualifications
- Advanced Degree in Informatics, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or related fields preferred.
- Experience working with pharmacy or healthcare data preferred.
- Track record of working as a consultative doer with a growth mindset preferred.
- Experience with technologies such as SQL, Python, Power BI, Databricks or similar tools preferred.
Skills
Must be able to work effectively from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information. Occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Pay Range
$97,900 - $133,500 per year
Schedule
This is a remote position, but occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.
